If the value of your vehicle over time might be less than the remaining balance of your loan, it is important to add GAP Insurance. The low-cost coverage can be conveniently rolled into your monthly loan payment.
In the event that your vehicle is stolen or deemed a total loss and your insurance company pays less than the amount of your loan balance, GAP will cover the deficient balance. An extra $1,000 payment is available to members who have a GAP claim and finance a replacement vehicle through Cornerstone Financial Credit Union.
